The Toyota Celica GT-Four was a high performance model of the Celica liftback, with a turbocharged 3S-GTE engine, and full-time 4WD.
It was created to compete in the World Rally Championship, whose regulations dictate that a minimum of 2500 cars must be built for homologation. The ST165 debuted in 1988 and won the manufacturers’ championship in its first year. The ST185 followed suit in 1989 and 1990.
